As the Indian Premier League 2021 enters its second half, there are going to be teams who will be seeking revenge for the first-round results. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be on a similar sort of mission when they take on Mumbai Indians in a league game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 4.
During these second-round matches, it becomes slightly easy to predict who might be able to dominate a match-up, given the stage in the tournament. However, it is important to know which all teams are doing well and how are their players performing in certain situations to succeed in fantasy games.
Here is 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians match:
1. James Neesham
The New Zealand all-rounder got included in the Mumbai Indians line-up in the previous match. His inclusion does add to the batting depth of the Mumbai unit, but it also makes him sort of a permanent slogger batting at no. 7. With some big-hitting all-rounders ahead of him, he might not get a lot of balls to face. And, given how the surface in Delhi is excellent for batting, captain Rohit Sharma might not give him more than one or two overs. In this match, there are some better all-rounder options in the Mumbai set-up, like Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard, who are more likely to succeed.
2. Kedar Jadhav
If you categorically break down the way Kedar Jadhav plays and has played in the T20 format over the years, you might realize that there are only in specific match-ups that he has succeeded. It will be harsh to say this, but Jadhav might have been past his prime already and in an attempt to fix the middle-order of Sunrisers Hyderabad, it has become difficult to understand how to get the best out of him in the format. Also, he bats too low and has been used as a frontline showman in this middle-order. It is better you stick with other options.
3. Rashid Khan
Even though Rashid Khan remains an impactful bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the way batsmen have played has changed slightly over the years. Batsmen are happier to just keep batting safely during his overs and get an odd boundary rather than going hard on him. This strategy has worked as they have attacked other Hyderabad bowlers.
Mumbai Indians, for example, have devised this method since Rashid took Hyderabad to a win in Wankhede in 2018. Since then, in five matches against Mumbai, Rashid has taken four wickets, and the batsmen have played him cautiously, by limiting their scoring option. On top of that, the wicket in Delhi isn’t suited a lot for spin, which is likely to be a favourable thing for Mumbai.
